Expense Hacking

Sometimes being productive is about using your resources well and reducing your expenses. Productivity Falcons engage in what I call “expense hacking” or “life hacking” related to finances. “Expense hacking” is what I call it when you dramatically reduce or eliminate most or all of your personal or business expenses in an area. 3 “Expense hacking” case studies: Patels -The Patels came to America without much to their name. -They found a hotel chain was hiring. -They negotiated that they would get to stay in one of the hotel rooms as part of the job. -They never bought a car or paid for transportation -They didnt have a mortgage or rent payment. -They slept head to foot with 6 in the same bed and spent money on food across the street from the hotel and a video rental for entertainment for a large family. -When your expense approaches zero your return is almost infinite. -They soon bought the hotel and found they could employ family members and deduct taxes up to a certain amount as...

Brain Chemistry And The Mind Is The Secret To Reprogramming The Simulation

Let me ask you something, have you ever wanted something so badly, I mean REEEALLY wanted something badly that you needed it immediately? Could you feel yourself driven to act in ways you otherwise might not have in order to get what you want? The brain is capable of pouring liquid fuel on your desires to make you more productive when you get the right variables to align.  One of those variables is having the incentives right. Get the incentive right, and change is eminent. Get them wrong and you would be stuck if you didn’t have this way out. Have you ever felt you only wanted to go to bed—or sleep there on the couch—even though it was hours from sleep? And for the last time you felt like you were able do nothing?  Until now, have you noticed energy having been a struggle to amp yourself up? Have you noticed the contrast between that and the days when you have the type of energy that can make you rocket out of bed? Imagine if you can jolt yourself out of any state and into ...

How to Instantly Tap Into Mental States

Image
Here’s an idea using a hypnosis tool called “anchoring”. When you arrive at extreme states of consciousness you can train yourself to “anchor” that state to a specific action for that state. Some body language is already linked or anchored to emotional states such as the  “victory pose” and that is demonstrated here  (25m video explaining the link between body language and emotional states) https://youtu.be/Ks-_Mh1QhMc Shortened 3min highlight version of that video “High power poses” and confidence. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7dWsJ-mEyI A hypnotist might actually access the emotional centers of your brain and have you imagining the experience of a time when you felt an emotion, they will have you anchor it to an action such as pushing your thumb and forefinger together. A hypnotist will actually give you a posthypnotic suggestion to do this and to return this state when you do, but even without the hypnosis your body language still activates the “neural net” associ...

“To Do” lists are for losers. Try this instead.

So now that you are on track to become an early riser , the question is what do you do with your time. You might think to write down a bunch of things you want done. So at first it seems that “to do” lists are a good way of having a list of things available to remind yourself things you thought of to do in one mental state when you are in another. So what’s the problem? Let’s say you’re really feeling ambitious and so you write down 20 things “to do” and then the next morning one thing ends up taking 10 times longer than you thought, you still finish it and maybe a couple other things but you cross out some things on your list and what do you see as you finally finish for the day? All that you DIDNT do. Over time that is not reinforcing of productive behavior. It gets your mind to focus on what isn’t done, rather than what is. So a “Falcon” (My nickname for those who consider themselves productivity Falcons who follow certain methods to massively boost their odds of success and p...

The Magic Of Kanye

Image
Kanye is a productivity Falcon. He is one of those rare individuals who have designed his own thinking and would happily infiltrate any brand to then come out on the other side and rebrand what the entire field is. He wrote poetry and rap at a young age, but broke in as a producer of beats. pursued an art degree, built relationships with major hip hop icons and human talent and helpped propel fellow productivity Falcon Jamie Fox into the music industry with a song “Slow Jamz” Jamie Fox initially thought of as “stupid song” and made hits with “Alcohol“ and “Gold Digger”. Foxx talked about this on Joe Rogan and also talks about this on Ellen in the video below. I love this story for a number of reasons. Normal productive people might say something like “it’s not what you know it’s who you know”, but productivity Falcons know that they can choose who they know over time or at least the types of people they know and they can build their own network and they have a knack for recog...

Become An Early Riser Part 2

Image
In Become An Early Riser (full title “Think and Get Motivated, How to Become an Early riser” and sub title: Your Falcon Productivity Launch Pad: Become An Early Riser!), I explained why you should be an early riser, I talked a bit about luck and I spoke about the simple way to become an early riser.  Set alarm for 4am, Drink coffee preprepared by bedside, stretch, and turn alarm off) This post is the enhanced edition. Today after trying the first strategy I blogged about (link above) for about a week with only moderate success so far, I feel my energy levels are at least 50 times higher than they would normally at this point in the day. I don’t know precisely what is behind that but I have a few ideas. One is the wording I’ve used and self persuasion has got me thinking about times when I’m ultra productive. Getting the psychology right is incredibly important. Another is the caffeine. Another may be cinnamon and vanilla extract that I added in my coffee. I also used the “bull...

Think And Get Motivated Now: Become An Early Riser

Your Falcon Productivity Launch Pad: Become An Early Riser! I will soon tell you how I plan to become an early riser, but why should you? Being an early riser allows you to take back control of your own life. No more responding to alarm clocks passively, stressing out about time and letting other people choose your own priorities. By taking charge you can work on the things most important to you first thing in the morning and get more done in 4 hours than many get in an entire day. You can avoid the period not likely to contain emails, distraction, background noise, etc and be full go for launch. 44% of the rich and top 1% of their field wake up at least 3 hours before their work day starts. Only 3% of the poor do. This according to Tom Corley author of “Rich Habits”. 84% of the wealthy believe in good habits creating “opportunity luck”. Although some rich believe you can create your own luck, many others believe luck is a function of taking enough low risk high reward decisions. ...
