“To Do” lists are for losers. Try this instead.

So now that you are on track to become an early riser , the question is what do you do with your time. You might think to write down a bunch of things you want done. So at first it seems that “to do” lists are a good way of having a list of things available to remind yourself things you thought of to do in one mental state when you are in another. So what’s the problem? Let’s say you’re really feeling ambitious and so you write down 20 things “to do” and then the next morning one thing ends up taking 10 times longer than you thought, you still finish it and maybe a couple other things but you cross out some things on your list and what do you see as you finally finish for the day? All that you DIDNT do. Over time that is not reinforcing of productive behavior. It gets your mind to focus on what isn’t done, rather than what is. So a “Falcon” (My nickname for those who consider themselves productivity Falcons who follow certain methods to massively boost their odds of success and p...

The Magic Of Kanye

Image
Kanye is a productivity Falcon. He is one of those rare individuals who have designed his own thinking and would happily infiltrate any brand to then come out on the other side and rebrand what the entire field is. He wrote poetry and rap at a young age, but broke in as a producer of beats. pursued an art degree, built relationships with major hip hop icons and human talent and helpped propel fellow productivity Falcon Jamie Fox into the music industry with a song “Slow Jamz” Jamie Fox initially thought of as “stupid song” and made hits with “Alcohol“ and “Gold Digger”. Foxx talked about this on Joe Rogan and also talks about this on Ellen in the video below. I love this story for a number of reasons. Normal productive people might say something like “it’s not what you know it’s who you know”, but productivity Falcons know that they can choose who they know over time or at least the types of people they know and they can build their own network and they have a knack for recog...

Today after trying the first strategy I blogged about (link above) for about a week with only moderate success so far, I feel my energy levels are at least 50 times higher than they would normally at this point in the day. I don’t know precisely what is behind that but I have a few ideas. One is the wording I’ve used and self persuasion has got me thinking about times when I’m ultra productive. Getting the psychology right is incredibly important. Another is the caffeine. Another may be cinnamon and vanilla extract that I added in my coffee. I also used the “bull...

Only 3% of the poor do. This according to Tom Corley author of “Rich Habits”. 84% of the wealthy believe in good habits creating “opportunity luck”. Although some rich believe you can create your own luck, many others believe luck is a function of taking enough low risk high reward decisions. ...
